Vlive analysis - part 2

PART 2

During the part about who treats who to eat. DH read a comment about someone saying it looks like what Joy would do because "she is chill". Seems like nothing but why reading this particular comment outloud ? Why not read a comment about MJ or GY ? Or mentioning the "director" like Joy did ? 

If this girl is not on his mind then what or who is ? 

Let's look at him mentioning GY being the most senior actor here : 

He looked at her 

Then looked at the screen.

Then went back looking at her while she talked and the screen again.

Going back and forth like that, we can safely say he didn't hold his gaze on her. Not like what he would do when Joy is speaking right ? 

And note that we didn't see him smiling here either. He had a much more serious face when talking to GY compared with Joy where he seemed to be always smiling. Very telling.

Then we catch him looking to his right towards Joy's direction.

I won' t say he looked at Joy because I don't have proof but I bet he side-glanced her here.

Here he mentioned GY having a scene about luxury stuff. He looked at GY but immediately broke eye contact and looked at MJ. 

Looked back at her

Breaking eye contact again. No holding gaze. 

Note that Joy was the one holding the gaze and listening intently when GY talked. Not DoHwan. 

Stealing glances at her again here ? The debate is open.

Another interesting part here. When asked about who was like an eldery, Ga Young is caught looking at DoHwan here

So the real life love triangle might not only be a sinking feeling after all...

Absolutely love this part about him looking at Joy only when asked what did they eat for lunch. Big hint about who is really on his mind. 

Thank you cameraman because we are able to see his "triangle look" again.

Did you notice Min Jae's little smile and shoulder shrugs ? As if he didn't know what DH was talking about but his smile may hint he has a "feeling" there might be something going on between the 2. As for GY she seemed completely oblivious. Seems like she didn't understand what they were talking about at all the way she looked at them.

DH's reaction here reminds me of someone caught red-handed looking down as if being guilty 

Even if he didn't look at her face here because she was facing the camera/screen, he still looked towards her direction nonetheless. And that little smile he always have whenever Joy is talking says everything. 

Won't we all have the same kind of face when thinking about someone we are fond of ? 

GY grabbing DH's attention by mentioning he also liked healthy food

He looked at her at first but then looked at the camera/screen breaking eye contact once again here. 

What's interesting here (thanks to MJ asking what GY ate) is that we know DH and GY were filming together so she had Kimbab. Don't you find it odd that he turned to JOY asking HER what they ate for lunch while he filmed with GY that day ? If should be Ga Young the girl he asked this question instead right ? 

And he seemed out of focus here scratching his face when GY was still talking. 

Then we see Joy laughing because of a comment about GY (rice punch) that quickly caught his attention

Joy's laugh made him laugh as well. Him looking at her laughing makes me think he finds it adorable/cute. Because if he was laughing at the comment concerning GY wouldn' t he turn to look at her instead like Joy did ? No need to look at Joy right ? 

Based on all his reactions up until now, she probably made him weak at his knees. 

Here it seemed he was going to eat but stopped himself when the guy mentioned Joy's name

After he spoke about the cilantro part with Min Jae, he looked at Joy and smiled widely when she said she hated that too

Then looked at MJ

On a side note, my theory about DoHwan being closer to Min Jae than Ga young seems to fit. Both of them have lunch and hang out together outside of filming but when we see him with GY, MJ is always there as well (lunar new year break, wrap up party). Didn't seem to me DH and GY ate together that day either because he thought he was having lunch with Joy.

Politely let Joy speak about her late night snack

I think he wanted to add something at first but let her speak her mind. This is a sign of respect. 

Looked at her and smiled after her answer "soju and chicken"

Seems like he was still eating here but couldn't help himself from smiling anyway after her cute comment. 

After Joy turned off the TV, he laughed and slightly turned his head towards her

DoHwan was definitely a gentleman here because when the phone rang he was the first one to get up to answer it. I really think DH was supposed to hold the phone instead of joy but somehow she insisted doing so. Based on their real life personality, DH would never have asked Joy to hold it as it would be very inconvenient for her and definitely didn't let Joy get up and answer the phone. 

Just because we didn't see what happened, it doesn't mean it didn't right ? 

Same with the wrap up party and the last BTS. If people can stop believing in assumptions as if it was the truth then things wouldn't have gone that far. 

forgot to add 2 interactions he had with GY before the video call :

- his comment about Soo Ji being the "prettiest celebrity" 

We didn't see his reaction after having said it but I can really well imagine him having the same kind of reaction he had when mentioning the "professional book reader" thing. 

- him looking at GY first and MJ after when he asked them about an ID account that could be "Kyung Joo". Yes he could have asked Joy. But also true he could have looked only at GY. 

Seems to me that subconsciously or unconsciously, he always associate GY with MY without distinction. His friends are GY and MJ. On the other hand, Joy is Joy. When he looks at her, he doesn't look at anyone else. 

Back to the video call. 

DH asked Joy if they came out well. She said she didn't know because it kept buffering. When she asked when they would come out he was the first one to say "what" as in what did you say. Meaning he was still attentive to her even when he was busy rezding the comments. 

Then she said they were amazed too. Him being the first one to react to what she said again (MJ second and GY didn't catch it at all)

Then Joy kind of throw back his "SY I love you" comment with "WDH my love". It did catch his attention as he looked up but someone mentioned the "fart" thing right after

Then Do Hwan being attentive to Joy again by asking her if she saw everything from there

When Joy said something and he asked if that was a question and if she was specifically asking him about it

Seems like he is really being attentive to everything she does or say right ? 

I didn't screencap it but when GY took the phone from DH's hand to hold for the 3 of them to see, she slightly brushed his hand. Compared this to Joy holding the phone when DH passed it to her, she was cautious NOT touching his hand at all. 

Here we have Min Jae playing with Do Hwan's hand and GY who kept looking at DoHwan when he spoke. 

Seems like he was looking at Joy here but I might be wrong. 

He didn't seem to be bothered about it MJ's skinship the slightest bit. As their agencies confirmed, I think the 3 of them were already friends and close enough to have this kind of skinship (hugging or touching hand)

No wonder his holding hot pack hand with Ga Young was everything but romantic. 

On a side note I find his hand holding with the director much more intimate lol. He literally held her hand near his heart and his whole upper body leaned against her as well. 

Holding hand or hugging someone doesn't mean we want to date that person right ? It's all in the little signs he gives away without realizing it.  

Seems like DH is the kind of guy who wears his heart on his sleeves. Not only will he openly express his feelings to the girl he likes but I believe he will also express his feelings to all the people he loves be it friends, families or co-workers. 

Back to the vlive

No doubt about it he was definitely looking at Joy here when asked about their first impression of each other

Not breaking eye contact and asking Joy if she remembered that day (he could have also looked at MJ and GY beside him as well because it wasn't as if they weren't there that day. Why joy ?) 

Then smiling when she indeed remembered that day

GY asked what was their first impression then looking at DoHwan while he still looked at Joy.

Touching MJ but still looking at her saying they were all pretty and good looking

Then Joy jokingly said that wasn't fun for her haha

Looking at her again when MJ said that was because he looked a bit tough but was in truth gentle

His cute but sad face here

And looking at her again but not MJ at all while he was the one speaking

Seems like he was a bit shocked hearing she was scared of him at first

Was he a little embarassed/shy here ? Where did his confident aura go ? 

Joy seemed to always be able to bring out his shyness or cute side right ? 

Now this is him intently listening to her when she explained why. 

Not smiling when Joy is not looking

Then smiling when she looked at him

His face when she said she ended up talking to MJ instead. Disappointment ? 

Interesting how he had to add that she always hits him now. As if to make sure everyone knows they are closer now. Much closer than her and Min Jae. 

Either he really liked teasing her or he felt a tiny tiny bit of jealousy there. 

Do Hwan read a comment about book recommandation from Ga Young. 

Both him and MJ looked at her. But only MJ held his gaze

Here we can clearly see GY looking at DoHwan but he didn't seem to notice

as he wasn't looking at her while MJ and Joy looked at her

Seems like DoHwan was the only one interested in what happened inside the phone/camera Joy was holding

Then GY asked what they were reading looking at DH

Joy answered only the script catching DH's attention again

The only one looking at Joy here

Looked away when Joy wasn't looking but still didn't look at GY

Secretly stealing glances at her here ? 

Note that GY didn't finish talking

I won't say he was checking her out because it would be too much but he was definitely looking in her direction.

DoHwan asking Joy to start doing the poem first with the word "temptation"

Seems like MJ and GY are surprised he asked Joy first 

MJ's smile here literally says "she is always first on your mind bro stop being too obvious" lol 

Note that when he said "professional TV person" he kept looking at her. Different than his comment about "professional book reader" right ?

It is said that when someone likes you and says something funny, he will want to make sure his jokes appeal to you so he will give you a quick look to see you are laughing. 

Note that DH was the only one smiling widely here

Then MJ followed after but GY seemed out of focus probably thinking about an answer

Do Hwan making eye contact with her, maintaining his gaze and still smiling afterwards is something he definitely never did with Ga Young. (We would have seen it already) Joy breaking eye contact didn't stop him from holding his gaze either. 

Then Joy asked if she had to do all by herself. DoHwan then suggested they should go around (still not looking at MJ nor GY) 

Note that GY looked at him here

But it didn't last as he looked at her again with a smile on his face

His head tilting to the side here is a sign of interest. Combine that with the little smile, either he was interested in what he listened to or he was interested in her. It could be both in this case. 

The boys seemed really proud of her given their big reaction here 

I'm not too sure about GY but she definitely didn't have the same interest during their conversation. DH and MJ seemed to have the same level of understanding. They kind of mirrored each other.

The part where Joy talked about her method memorising the lines DoHwan was listening very intently. He kept staring at her here

He looked down a few times (twice?) processing what she was saying but looked up to watch her again right after

Then after listening intently to what she had to say he asked her if she did the same with songs lyrics. 

Seems like he was really interested in what she said right ? 

Then his turn answering the question. We can see him slightly turning his head towards MJ and GY when he said he mostly talked to friends.

It's as if he was talking to Joy here right ?

If I understand correctly, him mentioning he didn't need to memorise the lines was because he could be himself when filming with MJ and GY. As if he was with his friends. Which goes to prove he really considers them as friends. 

The contact list part. What's interesting to note is the order of appearance of each name here. 

Min Jae said : Soo ji, Si Hyun and Tae Hee (we know he is closer with DH and GY)

Do Hwan said : Eun Tae Hee and Lee Se Joo (why not mentioning Choi Soo Ji ?)

While Ga Young said : Si Hyun, Se Joo and Soo Youngie (we know she is closer with DH and MJ respectively) 

Now let's analyze the moment. After reading the question, DH turned to Joy immediately after

Then he quickly looked away when she turned her head.

GY looked at him first but he didn't make eye contact with her

Then both looking at MJ who answered the question first

Do Hwan then answered while looking back at Joy as if talking to her

He didn't finish talking when GY spoke up and pointed at him based on his hand gesture but what's interesting here is that he looked at GY for a second and then looked right back at Joy

Always with that little smile on his face

Then both MJ and Him asked GY why she saved Joy as So Young. Seems like he was a bit disappointed they all didn't have the similar kind of joke you could have between friends. 

I can't really read his reaction here as I don't know if it was a bit of a shocking revelation or plain disappointment but Joy saying she saved them as their real names probably made him feel she put a barrier between them. I guess ? I don't really know...

Here again you can see GY stealing glances at him but he didn't seem to realize or take notice as he asked them to make a toast brushing off Joy's earlier comment

If you watch closely the vlive, you can hear Joy whispering something (probably asking why they think she did a bad thing saving their real names) and you can actually hear DoHwan chuckle a bit

He always responds to Joy in a certain extent. 

NG takes 

1st : looking at Joy thinking

2 - looking to his right then to his left still thinking when Ga Young answered first looking at him

3 - MJ's comment about spitting out water made him laugh

4 - talking about Joy and him having NGs because they had to film romantic scenes

5 - looking at Joy while talking

Then Joy remembered something funny. Seemed like he was a bit scared she remembered a bad thing 

Then he went completely shocked when she said it was hard working with him

I think he didn't take it personnaly but it was more like he felt bad for her. She didn't want him to misunderstand so she said she liked him

Which made him laugh 

Then he looked down when she didn't face him feeling a bit embarassed ? Maybe ? 

And looked at her again when she faced him with a tiny smile forming at the corner of his mouth

Here the way he tilted his head again looking at her with a smile on his face...doesn't it seem like looking at someone you are fond of ? 

Min Jae was also tilting his head but if you look closely he wasn't sitting straight but a bit leaned against DoHwan as we can guess his right arm behind this latter. Moreover, MJ didn't give Joy the same kind of smile or stares DH gave her. 

Do Hwan did look down a few times but always when Joy didn't look at him. But most of the time during their exchange he kept staring at her. 

And when he made her laugh he still looked at her as if to see if his joke appeal to her. Same way you would look at someone you like to make sure he/she responds to your jokes. 

One could say he was answering Joy's question but he could have looked at GY instead since she was laughing as well. 

This moment here is right after their call ended : we have DH being caught looking at Joy smiling

Then facing the screen

This part is when MJ talked about his feelings concerning the broadcast after they heard the BGM ? Or something. 

I'm not sure where DoHwan's eyes were directed towards here but it could be a side glanced to a certain someone or a side glance to the camera/screen

Then he turned to Min jae here 

Then DoHwan asking Joy how did she feel. Seems like he really was interested in her opinions given the number of times he asked her things related to her feelings. Simple curiosity or great interest ? 

Tilting his head and staring at her again even when she didn't look him in the eye. Must mean something right ?

Do Hwan's turn to say something

Turned to Joy first 

And then turned to MJ/GY. Not sure here but based on his body position, head turn and eyes, I think he was looking at Min Jae here 

Then his cute happy face when Joy said he was good 

Somehow, this moment here reminds me so much of SiHyun. Especially his smile, stares and the mimics he made with his hands like when someone is shy. I've always found DoHwan more mature but he still has a dorky and cute side that reminded me of his character Si Hyun. 

Now we also have an interesting part here : this is when they had to go around saying one sentence each. Look closely at his facial expression here.

1st to go Min Jae

2nd to go Ga Young

And then we have him turning to Joy and looking at her even BEFORE Ga Young finished her sentence ! 

And 3rd to go Joy but look at his face here

And this is the last pic I captured of them after they waved Goodbye and before the vid cut

I wanted to point out that Joy really have tendency raising her eyebrows when a bit shy/embarassed but laughing at the same time. You could see the same reaction during the press con and in some scenes in Tempted. I really think it is her trademark smile/laugh. 

Also, DoHwan could have thrown one last look at Ga Young here but he didn't. Would you be able not looking at the girl you secretly have a crush on for almost an hour ? I'm not saying he doesn't like her. I'm sure he does. But there are different kind of love right ? His love for Min Jae, Ga Young and Joy are all different I guess.  

I don't know if he really realized it or not but his whole body and facial expressions suggest he really have feelings for Joy. Or is atleast attracted/fond of her. There are things we can't fake. Especially lingering stares.
