Vlive analysis - part 1

WARNING : VERY LONG POST AHEAD

This is the first part of my whole analysis of JoHwan moments during the Vlive.

Let me show you why I think he was much more attentive to Joy than Ga Young only based on this vlive.

First interaction of JoHwan : DH asked them if they should drink up BUT he looked at Joy specifically here 

Then GY said it wasn't wine. He smiled at her comment but didn't look at her

He asked Joy if she had dinner yet looking at her. Not all of them but her specifically. 

He asked if she tried the strawberry cake turning to her

Aked her if she wanted some of what he was eating and served her the dish being a real gentleman. He could have asked GY and served her as well because MJ didn't. She also was far from the dish but he didn't. 

We have GY looking at them being chummy. I'm still wondering if she felt a tiny bit of jealousy out there.

He looked at MJ FIRST then GY AFTER while asking if they were done eating

Here we have DH looking at MJ (based on his sitting position with his head turning to his left and eyes side-glancing to the extreme far left side) 

Saying they are like friends to him. Which is true. 

DH passed her the phone. He actually didn't need to because it was also near Joy. Note the way Joy grabbed the phone trying not to touch his hand. Very different from GY right ? Same when she gave it back to him : she is being very cautious about skinship

Looking at MJ when he said thanks for the comment about them being immature is ok. This was a good opportunity to steal glances at GY but he didn't. His head was turning too much on his left. 

Of course our famous "Sooyoung I love you" while looking at her (which I think is only half joke and that there is a part of truth hidden)

He definitely flirted with her making her flustered. He could have read another comment but that one caught his attention somehow. 

When asked about who should roll the dice first he said MJ. Could have been a good opportunity mentioning GY right ? 

MJ borrowed the word "sexiness" from Joy. DH was seen laughing while looking at her

Their first skinship was when he talked about feeling a sense of responsibility towards viewers (?). He looked at her or atleast in her direction and slightly touched her arm with the side of his right hand. Here also while talking to the viewers, he could have looked at GY and MJ as well but didn't. 

One of the KEY moment of the vlive was when GY asked Joy to roll the dice. The LOOK he gave her is absolutely EVERYTHING you could have asked for. Let's see it in detail : 

Did you notice he didn't give a damn about the dice ? From the moment Joy held that white dice until the moment she threw the dice on the floor, HE ONLY HAD EYES FOR HER ! And that tiny smile we see ? It's the same smile we have when we think about things or people we like. We can't help it. One look at her face and he smiles. One thought about her and he smiles. Is this not one of the sign we fall in love ? Let's see later if he ever had a serious face on when their eyes meet.

Skinship number 2 : leaning against her and touching her left arm while looking upon her shoulder 

He could have leaned against the table right ? It would be much easier for him to see the number. I'm not sure with his position like this he managed to catch a glimpse of the dice. Unless this was a good opportunity for him to get closer to her. 

Looking at her with a smile on his face when she answered the question with 6 syllables (TH being smarter than her) 

Holding his gaze and keep smiling 

The "always pretty" comment from a fan : we have here a shy Joy raising her glass and a very attentive DoHwan who laughed outloud at her cute reaction. Then he asked her if she wanted to make a toast while being unable to look away. (Or look at other people) 

He was really staring at her here without looking away.

Now to be fair I also have to mention all his interactions with GY. DH did look at her when she came back to her chair to sit down after picking up the dice. But so was Min Jae

DH took part in the 6 syllables game as well making them laugh with the "beast" comment. Then GY said he was so brazen and instead of looking at her laughing, we got this instead :

Another missed opportunity interacting with GY then.

Then MJ's turned talking about his difference/similarity. But both Joy and DoHwan were focused on reading the comments on the phone. Even when MJ looked at DH he was seen still looking at the phone. Let's see if he did the same with Joy when she talked to the viewers. 

Then he started laughing because of MJ's comment. But it doesn't seem like he always have a habit looking at people intently when they talk right ? Sometimes he can look elsewhere as well. 

Now GY's turn rolling the dice. See the difference here ? He looked at the dice and not her face. No smile either. 

The MC asked about bromance and man/woman chemistty here. Do Hwan szid he thinks they had them all while side-glancingnat Joy. Then she fixed her clothes and he gave her a side-glance or looked towards her direction smiling a little : 

It is said that looking sideways can mean looking towards something that has taken our interest. Let's count the number of times he looked towards Joy like this then :  

(On a side note : Looking right and up is usually when you are processing what the other person is saying logically or trying to remember a recent experience.)

This is when DH was amused by Joy's comment about doing a "fighting" so suddenly. Seems like he is the only one having a big reaction for everything she does right ? Look at his wide smile

I wanted to comment this pic because I find him really considerate of Joy. Clearly he didn't sit in this position holding the phone for all of them to see. It's impossible for MJ and GY to read the comments at this distance. But he held it that way so that Joy would be more comfortable. If he put the phone on the table she would have to lean against him and forward to see. Which can be uncomfortable for her. If he wanted all of them to see would it be better to hold the phone more towards the middle of the table ? 

Clearly in this case his arm was directed towards Joy. 

But I'm not gonna complain about their close proximity lol

Looking to his right here after Joy fixed her clothes again. She picked his interest even when the interviewer was talking. (About being a homebody) 

The famous infrared light massage comment from DH. He was busy eating but couldn't help commenting. During some parts of the vlive you could catch DH doing something else and not really paying attention (for example when he was reading the comments and MJ was talking and looking at him). But here, even if he was busy doing something else (eating) he still paid attention to Joy. 

He remembered her telling him about that while MJ and GY seem oblivious (as one of them ask what it is). Him being all flustered when Joy asked how did he know lol.

Looks like only Joy can bring out his shyness with her cute banter or spontaneous answer. We never see it with MJ or GY because most of the time it is him being the joker. 

Also worth mentioning is him always smiling at her when talking to her as if he couldn't help it. 

This is when DH mentioned GY being a professionnal book reader. He could have looked at her and smile like he would with Joy but why making such a serious face ? 

True he didn't ignore GY and is also attentive to her remembering her words or things about her. But the difference when talking about her and Joy is huge : 

Here we have the "2 weeks" answer from Joy and Min Jae. Note that DoHwan looked at Joy first while she was talking to Min Jae. Then he said it's proof he isn't a homebody. He looked at Min Jae after and said that he wouldn't be able to stay this long because he had to go out and exercise.

Why looking at her when MJ also answered the same ? 

Again here, he didn't seem to be aware of GY's presence. They could have exchanged looks and smiled at each other right ? 

Right after that, he asked Joy jokingly if she spent 2 weeks doing her UV massage lol (I'm pretty sure he said UV on purpose) and made her laugh. He seemed really proud of his joke by the way. 

Now if we look closely at his eyes, we can see him looking straight at her : 

Straight

Down

Up again

Let's play it safe and say he looked at the tip of her nose and not lips. 

What do we know about body language ? When our eyes make a triangle movement looking at both eyes and looking down at the nose or mouth, it means we are in a comfortable and friendly environment. It could be friends or lovers, depending on how wide the triangle is and how long our eyes stayed focus on the nose/lips. 

At least we are sure DoHwan considers Joy as a friend. It would be difficult faking this.

He was on the phone reading the comments here but when the MC mentioned Joy (talking about tenacious people), he looked up at the screen even before Joy did it herself.

Again he gave her a big reaction when a fan said Joy. Compared his reaction to Min Jae. While most of us would be like MJ, aren't we always louder and tend to do the same when someone we fancy overreacted ? Seems like they were again inside their own bubble. 

DoHwan liked teasing her. I think he really enjoyed making her laugh. 

I believe his comment about a "cold" girl smiling that would make his heart flutter is not too far from reality.

His comment about her reprimanding him a lot is proof. He never teased Min Jae nor Ga Young that way. We can definitely see he didn't have the same kind of interactions. 

And then the way he looked at her smiling here...no words needed. 

Now this is the VERY INTERESTING PART I didn't catch the first time I watched the vlive.

This part right here ? It's him looking at her waiting for her to answer the question.

This is RIGHT AFTER him saying he would EXPRESS HIS FEELINGS for the girl he likes openly. He was waiting for her turn to answer the question because he was curious how she would express her feelings for the guy she likes. Or maybe he looked at her trying to decipher her reaction after his words. 

BUT ! The MC said it would be hard for a girl to confess first so he asked what would GY and Joy challenge themselves to do in life instead. 

Look closely at his reaction : 

1 - anticipating her to answer, looking at her

2 - looking at the screen because the interviewer asked another question

3 - is it a disappointed look I see there looking in her direction again ? 

That part here is gold my fellow JoHwan shippers. Because he didn't even steal glances at GY or looked at her or towards her direction. Not even once. JOY WAS ON HIS MIND THE WHOLE DAMN TIME. 

Ok end of part 1 on this positive note. 

Let's continue with part 2...
